The purpose is the art of making. The essence of the water on the clay(petrichor). The sparkling sound in the corner of the room after the baking. Understanding the elements of nature through the process of making them. As an artist, the process and the art of making is something she has always loved. The space and her works at Clarthware aim to translate that essence.

Clarthware is a pottery and art studio founded in 2021 by Shreya Chajjed, a contemporary artist, studio potter and graphic designer. She makes and shares her learnings through teaching and aims to build a community of artists through her practice. She finished her MFA - in Contemporary Art Practices from Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore and her BVA in Painting from Stella Maris College, Chennai.
She has an experience of 12 years practising Fine Arts and 5 years of experience in Ceramics. Through this amalgamation of experiences, her approach focuses on prioritising ideating, exploring and making while strengthening the skills.
